Do I have to be vaccinated or wear a mask to attend Brewfest at the Ballpark?  For large outdoor events, the State strongly recommends that all guests be fully vaccinated, obtain a negative COVID-19 test prior to attending events, or wear a face covering. Attendees who do not self attest vaccination status should wear face coverings. Fully vaccinated guests are not required to wear a mask to attend Brewfest at the Ballpark. Unvaccinated guests should still wear a mask. Please be aware of the risk of attending large crowded events where the vaccine status of others in attendance may be unknown, or others may not currently be eligible for vaccination, or may be immunocompromised and whose vaccine protection may be incomplete.

Any new stadium protocols I should be aware of?

  • Sutter Health Park is now a cashless venue! All major credit/debit cards and River Cats gift cards will be accepted as payment.

  • Mobile Tickets - All event tickets are now digitized! For the best experience, be sure to add your digital tickets to your mobile wallet in advance of your arrival to make your entrance experience quick and effortless! If you are attending Brewfest at the Ballpark with a group and arriving together, only one person in your group will need to have all tickets added to their mobile wallet. If you bought tickets for friends, and they're not entering the gates with you, make sure to transfer their tickets to them so they can add to their mobile wallet.

  • As in previous years, all guests at Sutter Health Park will pass through a metal detector to enter the stadium. Additionally, to avoid touching attendees’ personal items, Sutter Health Park is enforcing a CLEAR BAG POLICY and we ask guests to open their own bags for inspection. See below for a visual on what you can bring inside the ballpark. *note: if you forget your clear bag on event day, options will be available for purchase at our ticket office windows.

If it's raining, what happens?: Brewfest at the Ballpark is rain or shine, baby! In the event that the field is too wet, we'll bring the party to the concourse and still have the time of our lives.

I forgot my ID, what do I do?: Call a friend to bring it to you! We will be checking IDs at the gates. All guests must have a valid US Driver’s License or Photo ID and must be 21+ to enter Brewfest at the Ballpark.

Can I bring my infant, toddler, or child?: Sorry, but no one under 21 years of age will be able to enter Brewfest at the Ballpark, no exceptions.

Are animals allowed?: No animals except for service animals are allowed inside the stadium.

Will there be a safe spot to park my bike?: Yes! We will have a bike valet set up on Ballpark Drive, directly in front of the stadium where you may park your bike for the duration of the event.

What type of food will be available?: We will have a wide range of options to tempt your taste buds including tri-tip and pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, sausages, and more! All food will be available to you for purchase (reminder, we're cashless!). Our VIP Ticket Holders receive (1) complimentary Sausage (or Vegan Sausage) and (1) bottled water included with their ticket.

I'm a VIP is there special line I get in to enter?: Heck yeah! VIPs will have a dedicated entrance (look for the signs). Avoid the General Admission line and get right in!

How do I redeem my food if I'm VIP?: Your mobile VIP ticket has your Sausage + Bottled Water redemption built right in! Visit any open storefront concession stand, or field level food location and show your ticket for scan. Once scanned, you'll get your goods! We recommend grabbing your food during the VIP hour to avoid longer food lines.

If I'm not a huge beer fan, but I still want to participate, what other alcohol options are there? There are definitely more options than just beer at Brewfest! We've got several hard kombucha brewers lined up, some breweries are featuring their own seltzers, and a few cider houses are also on board. There will be something for everyone!

Can I bring in my own food?: No outside food or drinks will be permitted inside the stadium, individual factory-sealed bottled water is permitted (your lovely pretzel necklaces are okay to come in too!)

Is there re-entry once I am inside the gates? Sorry, no re-entry. Once you leave, you cannot come back in. That being said, make sure you don't leave anything in the car or Lyft!

When is last pour?: Last pour is at 9:40pm!

If I am a DD, do I need to purchase a ticket?: All Designated Drivers will need to purchase a Designated Driver Ticket ($12). Your ticket includes a River Cats Souvenir Soft Drink Cup which comes with unlimited drink refills all night.* All Designated Drivers must be 21+ ID’s will be checked upon entry.

*soda refills are available on the concourse level of the stadium and guests with the DD ticket will be the only guests permitted to redeem refills.

I have my DD ticket, how do I get in?: There will be a Designated Driver Check-In area in front of the main gates. To check-in, you must show your ticket and a valid ID. Upon check-in you will be wristbanded, marked with a mark on your hand, and given your refillable souvenir cup. Designated Drivers will not be let into the stadium without having their wristband and mark on their hard, so be sure to check-in before getting in line!

If I purchased a DD ticket, and my group has VIP Tickets, can I get in with them at 5:30pm? Yes! Your DD ticket will get you in at whichever time frame your group has tickets for.  (VIP - 5:30pm, GA - 6:30pm)

Can I buy my tickets in person instead of online? Yes! You may purchase tickets at our Tri Counties Bank Ticket Office. Ticket office hours can be found here. Ticket Office hours the day of Brewfest at the Ballpark are: 10:00am-2:00pm, and then will re-open at 4:30pm through the duration of the event. Don't forget, their is a $5 ticket bump the day of the event, so purchase in advance!

I would like to volunteer at Brewfest, how can I do that?: If you would like to volunteer, you can send an email to with the subject: Brewfest Volunteer Inquiry.

Can I bring a chair in the stadium?: With the outfield grass as your oyster, you won’t need a chair (plus chairs are not permitted). Bring a blanket and pick your spot for the night!

What if I can't sit on the ground, is there anywhere else for me to sit? Totally! We will have some stadium seats available for sitting in the seating bowl so you can take it all in from there.

Will you be selling any sort of merch? We'll have exclusive River Cats shirts for sale, as well as blankets if you decide you'd like to set up a place to sit on the grass.

Where can I smoke?: Because we do not allow re-entry, there will be a designated smoking area at Brewfest. Smoking is NOT permitted on the field level.

How much is parking?: Parking is complimentary and included in your ticket price. Plan ahead for a designated driver, or utilize other transportation options as needed.

Does Brewfest benefit a certain organization?: Yes! Proceeds from Brewfest at the Ballpark benefit the River Cats Foundation, an organization created to serve and benefit children and families in need in our Sacramento area. For more information on the River Cats Foundation, please visit:

I still have more questions, what do I do?: Shoot us an email at and we will be happy to help!
